Granite steps are a strong choice when you want a durable, low maintenance entry that fits a New England home. Solid granite resists frost and salt well and holds its appearance. Pavers and stone treads also work, and we can help you compare them for your entry.
Are granite steps slippery?
Granite steps with a textured or thermal finished surface offer good traction. Polished granite is not a good choice outdoors. We help you choose a finish suited to exterior steps and set the treads with a slight pitch so water drains off.
Can you replace my existing front steps with granite?
Yes. We can remove old concrete, brick or wood steps, prepare a new base and install granite steps and a landing sized to your door and grade.
